Life

Priscus of Phrygia is venerated as a martyr of the early Church, commemorated on September 21 (October 4 on the Old Calendar). He is associated with Phrygia, a region of Asia Minor.

No detailed life of the saint survives. Orthodox calendars and synaxaria record his name and rank as a martyr, but transmit no biographical narrative, dates, companions, or account of his martyrdom.

Commemoration

Priscus of Phrygia is listed among the saints commemorated on September 21, a day that also marks the Leavetaking of the Elevation of the Cross.
